Building Information Modeler

Job Description
Veridian Homes and Trussbridge, innovative companies with an emphasis on smart growth and green built practices, has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Building Information Modeler to join our team! This position will have an initial focus in the estimating portion of the role and will gradually take on some of the drafting responsibilities.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Estimating: (Initial Focus)
The successful candidate will have strong attention to detail and accuracy, along with analytical and problem- solving skills is necessary. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities are crucial for effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders. The candidate should be able to work both independently and as part of a team, showcasing a willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment. Estimating and drafting experience is preferred.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Estimating: (Initial Focus)
- Conduct thorough site visits to assess project scope and requirements.
- Prepare detailed and accurate project estimates using Timberline or equivalent.
- Analyze material and labor costs, factoring in potential contingencies.
- Communicate estimates clearly and concisely to clients.
- Create accurate and comprehensive construction drawings (floor plans, elevations, sections, details) using CAD software (Revit).
- Collaborate with designers and architects to ensure plans meet client specifications and building codes.
- Maintain and update drawings as needed throughout the project.
- Assist with project management tasks as needed, including scheduling and material procurement.
- Maintain clear and accurate project documentation.
- Collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, designers, and contractors.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety and quality standards.
