Job Description

Work Schedule:

100% FTE, Monday - Friday between the hours of 7:00 am - 5:00 pm. Potential to work 4- 10 hour days.

Urology at UW Health is consistently ranked among the country's top programs and offers center-oriented specialty treatments and consultations in Pediatric Urology, urologic cancers, stone disease, urinary tract infections, voiding dysfunction and infertility, as well as a full complement of minimally-invasive surgery techniques related to urologic conditions.

We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to:

  • Provide care to adult urology patients in an outpatient setting.
  • Conduct comprehensive or episodic health history and physical assessment of patients with acute, chronic and/or potential health problems.
  • Perform routine clinical procedures independently as outlined in practice agreements/scope of practice including, but not limited to: catheter insertions, catheter changes, and complex bladder irrigation.
  • Potential to complete additional procedures in clinic including but not limited to: ureteral stent removals.

Education:

Minimum -

If Nurse Practitioner:

Master's or Doctorate's degree from accredited Nursing Program.

If Physician Assistant:

Bachelor's or Master's degree from accredited PA Program.

Licenses and Certifications:

Minimum -

If Nurse Practitioner: Active RN and APNP license in State of Wisconsin AND active board certification as a NP in Adult; Adult/Gerontology Primary Care; Family; Gerontology.

If Physician Assistant: Active PA license in State of Wisconsin AND active PA board certification.

All Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant applicants must have: Active DEA license or ability to apply for such license prior to or upon hire AND CPR certification and advanced life support certifications if relevant to practice area (ACLS, PALS, NRP).
