Systems Administrator

Onsite in Tampa, FL

Summary

As our Systems Administrator, you will maintain and improve in-house computer systems and network connections to ensure high levels of availability and security of the supported management applications. You will actively participate in the planning and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure system provisioning and maintenance that is consistent with program goals, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements. Primary & Essential Accountabilities

  • Manage and improve in-house computer systems and network connections to ensure high levels of availability and security of the supported business applications
  • Participates in the planning and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure system provisioning and maintenance that is consistent with program goals, industry best practices and regulatory requirements
  • Install, configure, monitor, administer and maintain workstations, servers, and applications
  • Administer and maintain end user accounts, permissions, and access rights
  • Aid in development of business continuity and disaster recovery plans, and maintain current knowledge of plan executables
  • Coordinate with end users and technical staff to implement and maintain systems that utilize industry best practices to meet business objectives, while maintaining the security and integrity of the data, system, and network
  • Provide Information Systems life-cycle management
  • Manage, install, and configure various server operating systems such as, but not limited to, Server 2012R2, Server 2016, VMWare vSphere
  • VMWare, vCenter and vSphere management, including provisioning new virtual machines, and templates, creation of VMFS datastores, physical server consolidation, ESXi upgrades, patching and STIG implementation
  • Patch testing and installation on critical systems within the enclave
  • Daily monitoring and configuration of NetApp storage devices to include, but not limited to, NFS/CIFS volumes, SnapMirrors, Snapshots, export policies, and volume recovery
  • Provide network services including configuring, installing, and managing data services at the software operating systems level, Domain Name System, Network Directory, Host Based Security Systems, Network Area Storage, Microsoft Software Update Service, SolarWinds and VMWare
  • Perform daily monitoring of critical data backups and make necessary changes to ensure long term data retention

Qualification Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Management Information Systems, Mathematics, Industrial Technology, Computer Sciences, a related field, or equivalent experience or associate level vendor certification(s)
  • Active Top Secret clearance SCI eligible is required
  • U.S. Citizenship is required
  • Applicants must have a current DoD-approved Professional Baseline Certification
  • Expert level knowledge with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, WDS, WSUS, Group Policy Objects, and Organization Units within the infrastructure
  • Strong hands-on experience with VMware vSphere systems administration
  • Strong experience with DISA STIG Compliance tools, reports, and scans
  • Experience with servicing and hardening Windows 10, Server 2012R2, and Server 2016 operating systems
  • Experience with NetApp storage appliances and Clustered Data on Tap 9.7,
  • At least two (2) years of directly related experience in systems administration
  • Ability to work independently as well as cooperatively in a team-oriented environment
  • Ability to successfully interact with all levels of management, other IT professionals and end-users

Desirable Qualifications

  • Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA); Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA); Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS); Windows Server
  • Experience with any of the following tools: DISA Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS), DISA Host Based Security System (HBSS), OpenSCAP 1.0
