The Pharmacy Technician Supervisor is responsible for leading and supervising the daily functions of technical personnel and assisting the Pharmacy Manager and Director with the administration and oversight of pharmacy services. With guidance from the Pharmacy Manager and Director, the Pharmacy Technician Supervisor's principal responsibilities include management of pharmacy technicians, coordinating department operations and services, leading customer service and performance improvement initiatives, developing and implementing policies and procedures, and assisting with department financial activities. In collaboration with the operations and/or ambulatory pharmacy managers, this position will maintain compliance with all accreditation programs, pharmacy licenses, and state and federal regulations.

The Pharmacy Technician Supervisor is expected to demonstrate effectiveness as a leader and role model through efficient time management, effective organization of work and prioritization, and modeling professionalism and FOCUS values at all times.

Qualifications:
  • High school or Vocational School graduate or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Three (3) years management experience, or three (3) years work experience in a Pharmacy setting
  • Registered with board of pharmacy as a certified technician or as a pharmacy technician trainee and obtain certification within one (1) year

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelors in a healthcare or related field
  • Prior leadership and/or supervisor experience
